Adventures in Form and Image, for Buxton Art Trail 2017
In her exhibition, Cutting It, award-winning artist Adrienne explores shape, colour and texture through embroidered photomontage, collage and painting.
Michela Griffith creates evocative abstracts of the River Dove with an emphasis on movement and texture. Fluid: Images of and Inspired by Water will show you places you think you know well in a new, liquid, light.
“We both use cameras as part of our creative processes, but what you will see is far-removed from popular preconceptions of photography” says Michela.
If you’d like a taste of their images you’ll find this on http://www.adriennebrown.co.uk/ and at http://www.michelagriffith.com/.
Michela will also be taking part in Peak District Artisans’ Great Dome Art Fair at The Devonshire Dome, Buxton, on 22 & 23 July 2017. Both artists will be showing their work at The Nicholson Museum and Art Gallery, Leek, as part of a Peak District Artisans’ group exhibition which opens on 29 July and continues until 26 August 2017.
