Peak 7 in New Mills

Michela Griffith will be showing work as part of 'Peak 7', a group of seven artists and makers, for Derbyshire Open Arts this year. Her images frequently challenge visitors’ perceptions of photography and reflect a seven year dialogue with her local river, the Dove. A taster video “Fluid - Images of and Inspired by Water” can be seen here

Michela will be exhibiting alongside fellow Peak District Artisans' Lin Cheung, Cath Dunn, and Emma Sidwell at Providence United Reform Church on Mellor Road, New Mills SK22 4DP. Their mixed media works, paintings, prints and pen & ink drawings will be on display together with the ceramics, jewellery and prints of three other High Peak artists - Pentimento, Adele Kime, and Howard Levitt. For more about their work and this venue see the Derbyshire Open Arts brochure artist nos. 23-29 and website

See the events tab for full event details, times and directions. There is again this year a New Mills art trail map to help you plan your Derbyshire Open Arts weekend.
